September 2002 saw the next natural progression in theTrigga success story hit the shops, in the shape of the highly rated and thoroughly fieldtested Trigga Ice.
Those of you who have followed the ongoing development of this incredible bait, via the angling press, will no doubt be aware that the prototype recipes were initially put together as a cold weather version of the original Trigga Mix, but the end result certainly represents much more than that!
We strongly suggest that you treat Trigga Ice as a year-round alternative version of the original mix, not simply as a winter bait.
Having said all that, the fact that we have added a complex blend of high-tec natural emulsifiers and low level spice extracts and oleo resins ensures that Trigga Ice stands head and shoulders above any other bait for cold weather use… hence the timing of the initial launch.

The eagerly awaited ‘Iced’ version of the awesome Trigga Base Mix. To add to both the cold weather and short term attraction qualities we have added a high-tec blend of natural emulsifiers and powdered spice extracts, to the now familiar combination of Trigga powder, pre-digested marine meals, low fat oceanic proteins, milk and whey proteins and vitamins and minerals.As with the original mix, no additional additives are required, apart from the dedicated ‘Trigga Ice’ liquid food source that has been designed to complement this superb bait.
In common with all the base mixes that bear the Nutrabaits seal of approval, it goes without saying that Trigga Ice rolls exceptionally well and boils hard without any need for excessive cooking times.

We first played around with spice oleo resins way back in 1988 and have for many years been aware of their potential when incorporated in a high quality carp bait. Consequently, when we were looking for a way of making Liquid Trigga even more effective in colder water temperatures, the most outstanding of all the oleo resins went straight to the top of our list.
I think it’s fair to say we choose well. Liquid Trigga Ice in conjunction with the Trigga Ice base mix has totally changed the way many of our fieldtesters now view winter carp baits and indeed what they expect their winter campaigns to produce.
Our recommendation is that Liquid Trigga Ice should be added to the base mix at 5-10ml per egg, which equates to 25-50ml per 500g mix.
