Natural Extracts

Natural Extracts

It seems most anglers think we only do Green Lipped Mussel Extract in our range of Natural Extracts.

This is a pity, for good though the GLM is, it is just one of a range of six powdered extracts designed to add still further to your bait’s attraction. There are four fish extracts and two liver based extracts in the range, each one specially selected to add 100% pure natural attraction to your bait, extracted from the raw material to produce an end product that is brim-full of nature’s goodness.

Each of the range has been researched to find the optimum inclusion level and, as the extracts are highly concentrated, we suggest you adhere strictly to the guidelines printed on the resealable tub. There is room to experiment as far as hookbaits are concerned, and you can confidently add up to twice the recommended level of the extract in a mix that is intended for hookbaits only.

Available in 50g tamper-proof pots

The infamous GLM Extract is cultivated in New Zealand and imported specifically for our own use. It is without doubt one of the best known and most effective of all the products in the Nutrabaits range.
Rich in naturally occurring Betaine, it boasts a superb shellfish smell and one of the most distinctive tastes imaginable.

GLM is usually associated with inclusion in fish and marine type baits, but in truth most baits will be improved by the addition of a bit of this magical powder.

Recent results have suggested that our suggested inclusion rate of 2g per 16oz/500g is erring very much on the low side with levels up to 12g per mix proving highly effective.

Shrimp

This unique product is exclusive to Nutrabaits and is imported for us from Denmark where it is produced.

Once again it tends, primarily, to be used in conjunction with fishmeal type base mixes but can be equally stunning in more or less anything.

A brief word of warning: Shrimp Extract is very buoyant and high levels of inclusion can add quite dramatically to the buoyancy of your end product.

Lobster

A very underrated addition to the Natural Extract range. However, we suspect if as many anglers used it, lobster could be on a par with the awesome GLM. Nevertheless, it continues to be very popular with many long time users of our products from around Europe.

This is another extract that has a very distinctive smell and taste. Once again, rich in lots of the goodies that carp love so much.

Mixed Fish

A blend of high quality fish extracts that have been professionally blended to produce this highly original bait additive. Use in the base mix of your choice at a maximum of 4g per 16oz/500g.

Upping the level doesn’t seem to increase the pulling power significantly, so we suggest you stick religiously to the recommendations shown on the label.

Liver Powder

This is the end result of several years of product sourcing and stringent fieldtesting – a powdered Liver that is of a high enough quality to carry the Nutrabaits seal of approval.

I would imagine that no introduction is needed – liver in its various forms is quite simply one of the best known of all carp bait additives.

Use in the base mix of your choice to improve them beyond all recognition.

Liver Attract

Not an extract in the true sense of the word, but yet another quality part of the range.

Liver Attract is used primarily in high attract type baits although, at the suggested inclusion rate of between 2 and 5g per mix, there is no reason why it can’t prove effective in long term food baits as well.

If you are ordering a 20kg bag of base mix through your local shop, why not ask us to add the required amount of your favourite extract at the same time as we are blending your made-to-measure sack of bait. Our high-tech mixing machines will ensure an even distribution of the extract throughout the whole sack, to save you time and effort and a lot of fiddling about in the kitchen!
