Fieldtester Profile

Name: Martyn Skoyles

Date of Birth: 08/09/1983

Occupation: Timetable and Logistics Clerk / Web Designer

Marital Status: Single

Interests Outside Angling: I enjoy walking, computing and photography and playing sport, particularly squash and badminton.

Football Team: A big Manchester United fan.

Favourite Music: I like a bit of variety and will listen to most things, I think in my car at the moment there is a mixture of CD's including Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses, Oasis, Green Day and The Killers.

Favourite Food: I love any type of pasta and also Indian food.

Most Memorable Angling Achievement: To follow

Favourite Nutrabaits Products: I'd be happy using most products in the range, although I do have a couple of favourites. Trigga and Trigga Ice have given me some fantastic fishing in recent years, both on waters I've visited for the first time and also longer term when attempting to establish a food source. The Big Fish Mix has also worked brilliantly wherever I've used it.

I rarely go anywhere without a selection of baits glugged in Bait Soak Complex plus the matching flavour, Wonderfruit and Fruit Special being my favourites in summer and Tecni Spice unbeatable in the winter.

Moving away from boilies I really rate the Trigga Carpet Feed, in particular with the addition of extra Betaine HC1 and Corn Steep Liquor. Add some Trigga pellets, a tin of corn and some crumbed boilies and you have an awesome mix for attracting and getting fish feeding in your swim.

Why do you choose Nutrabaits: It's a confidence thing, I know that Bill and the team at Nutrabaits produce top quality baits that are carefully tested and carp absolutely love eating. Having used Nutrabaits since I started fishing I just can't imagine casting out anything else.

Favourite Rig: I tend to keep things fairly simple rig wise, and most of my fishing is done with 10 to 12 inches of fluorocarbon coupled with a short length of braid whipped onto the hook for the hair. The lead set-up changes more often, and depending on what I'm fishing over I'll switch between lead clips, helicopter rigs and inlines.
